Bidang Penelitian

Current research activities are concerned with the ab initio and density functional calculations of potential energy surfaces of organic reactions (eg. pyrolysis) involving heterocyclic compounds, including those producing hydrogen gas. The later is related to the midterm project of our division to study advanced materials and processes around the development of fuel cells. Other areas of interest

  • Computational studies of organometallic compounds
  • Hydrogen bonding and hydrogen transfer reactions and their importance in biological process
  • Theory and modeling of periodic systems
  • Development of learning objects for Physical Chemistry teaching
