FIELD LECTURE TEAM FOR ENVIRONMENTAL CHEMISTRY COURSE (KI3213) COLLABORATE ENVIRONMENTAL OCEANOGRAPHY COURSE (KI3201)
BANDUNG, fmipa.itb.ac.id, -Field Lecture Team of Environmental Chemistry (KI3213) collaborated with Environmental Oceanography Course (KI3201) to monitor sanitation and vegetation conditions in one of the Nusawiru coastal waters, Pangandaran Regency. Head of the field lecture team for the Environmental Chemistry course, Dr. Muhammad Yudhistira Azis, MSi(a lecturer of Analytical Chemistry Research Group, Chemistry Study Program, FMIPA ITB) together with members of a team of chemistry students participating in field courses and assistants reported several types of plastic, metal, and B3 waste found in this coastal area and which has a diversity of mangrove vegetation which is the habitat of the coastal waters ecosystem. Based on the type of waste, it can be seen that most of the waste comes from the activities of local people and visitors, and may be brought in by currents from other places. The results of these findings will become a further study in carrying out several potential monitoring and remediation of pollutants in the environment.
