Short Course on Numerical Mathematics
February 28, 2018 @ 8:00 am - March 6, 2018 @ 5:00 pm
Scientific computation has become an exciting field of research which is interdisciplinary and important. The advancement of the computer hardware has enable scientist to handle significantly-large size computation, which was nearly impossible in the past. This progress also become a challenge for mathematicians to harness this powerful tools in an efficient way to solve more and more complex problems which then at the end bring a new insight to our understanding of nature.
Topics may include:
- Recent progress in large-scale optimization.
- Recent progress in linear inverse problems.
- Recent progress in generalized Krylov methods.
- Recent progress in matrix eigenvalue problems.
