BANDUNG, fmipa.itb.ac.id, -As a part of global community on research and innovation as well as community service activities, ITB has conducted a Regional Workshop on Reactor Physics, System Thermal Hydraulics and Safety of Small Modular Reactors for Near-term Deployment. The workshop is conducted by joint Organizers between Bandung Institute of Technology - Department of Physics, Department of Nuclear Science and Engineering (ITB), Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences and Research Organization for Nuclear Energy, National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), which will be held during a week on March 4-8, 2024 in this Basic Science Center A (BSCA) building, Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), Ganesha Campus, Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. The objective of this workshop was Provide technical exchange forum among international experts on the subjects and strengthen energy society in Southeast Asia. . Workshop has delivered by invited Speakers and distinguish guests from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), National Energy Council (DEN), IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency), National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), Nuclear Energy Regulatory Agency (BAPETEN), Gajah Mada University (UGM), National Electricity Company (PLN), PERTAMINA (National Energy Company), from overseas and Indonesia in person here in ITB Bandung Indonesia and through online participations, such as Politecnico di Milano, Korea Electric Power Corporation Engineering & Construction (KEPCO E&C), NuScale Power, Malaysian Nuclear Agency, Philippine Nuclear Research Institute, National University of Singapore, China National Nuclear Corporation/Nuclear Power Institute of China (CNNC/NPIC), ROSATOM State Atomiс Energy Corporation. The topic of this workshop will be delivered such as SMR Platform, Integral PWR, Floating NPP, HTGR, Microreactors, Molten Salt Reactors, Fast Reactor, Advanced Nuclear Material, Energy Policy and Planning and other related topic and R&D activities from various technologies. Speakers and participants of the workshop are from more than 12 countries and more than 20 organizations. The workshop is held by hybrid offline in person and online through internet connection via video conference.
