BANDUNG, fmipa.itb.ac.id – The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) of the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) has once again achieved a proud achievement on the international stage.
Dr. rer. nat. Akfiny Hasdi Aimon, S.Si., M.Si., dosen dan peneliti dari FMIPA ITB, berhasil terpilih sebagai penerima Dana Osaka Gas Foundation of International Cultural Exchange (OGFICE) Tahun 2025–2026.

The OGFICE funding program is an initiative of the Osaka Gas Foundation of International Cultural Exchange, Japan, which aims to support outstanding research and strengthen international academic collaboration in the fields of science and technology.

Through this program, Dr. Akfiny will conduct research entitled “High-Sensitivity NO₂ Gas Sensor Based on rGO/ZnO/Fe₂O₃ Conductive Polymer Film.”
This research focuses on the development of a gas sensor material with high sensitivity for detecting nitrogen dioxide (NO₂), a hazardous air pollutant in urban environments. This innovation is expected to contribute to the advancement of efficient, environmentally friendly, and low-cost gas sensor technology.

This achievement is not only a source of pride for FMIPA ITB, but also a tangible proof of the contribution of the academic community in the development of science and technology that has an impact on the wider community.

FMIPA ITB congratulates Dr. Akfiny on this extraordinary achievement, and hopes that the results of her research can be an inspiration for young lecturers and researchers at ITB to continue to contribute at the global level.
