Chemistry and Physics Master Students Selection for Research Based Sandwich Program FMIPA ITB and Zernike Institute
Bandung, fmipa.itb.ac.id- The selection was carried out on August 4-5, 2015 and this year, which is the 8th edition, there were nine participants consisted of seven students from Chemistry and two students from Physics. The Selection began with a presentation by the representatives from Zernike Institute Prof. Thomas Palstra and Prof. Katja Loos, as well as representatives from FMIPA-ITB is Dr.Eng. Ferry Iskandar. On the occasion, Prof. Thomas Palstra as director of the Zernike Institute shared the experiences on the management of the staffs recruitment, programs, and funding research in the institute he leads. Zernike Institute under his leadership has been ranked first successful best research institutions outside the United States, according to Thomson ISI.
The candidates will be ranked and only the top six are invited to Groningen to conduct research at the Zernike Institute for 6 months with funded by Zernike. FMIPA ITB as a partner has committed to provide a travel allowance to Groningen. (AN).
