PROF. DJOKO SUPRIJANTO GAVE A LECTURE ON CYCLIC CODES IN THE CTS 2024

BANDUNG, fmipa, itb,ac,id, –Prof. Djoko Suprijanto, one of Indonesia’s figures in Combinatorics, last Saturday, February 24, 2024 at 14.00-15.30 WIB, gave a guest lecture in the series “Combinatorics Today Series 2024 (CTS 2024)” at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB). The title of the lecture was “Cyclic codes over finite rings and their generalizations: Structural properties and applications”. Cyclic codes are one of the most studied groups of codes, both because of their rich mathematical structure and their use in applications. Cyclic codes have also been generalized in various ways, including negacyclic codes, constacyclic codes, and oblique cyclic codes with derivatives. In this lecture, recent developments in the study of cyclic codes and their generalizations were discussed, with a focus on two-step generalizations of cyclic codes or skewed cyclic codes with derivations.
